Yahoo! Selects Rapt's Price Optimization Software For Its Global Business

San Francisco, California — October 17, 2005 — Rapt Inc., the leading provider of pricing and profitability management software and services, announced today the expansion of its relationship with Yahoo! to international markets, beginning with Europe. Software activation is currently underway and, similar to Yahoo!'s U.S. business, Price Director will become an important component of the company's pricing and yield management strategies in Europe.

Yahoo! has used Price Director in North America since early 2004. The software uses sophisticated mathematical models and provides a unified platform for coordinating and driving pricing decisions. Yahoo! selected Rapt because of the significant opportunities to apply Rapt's industry-leading algorithmic engine to the challenges of pricing in the online media industry.
